Girls without DOC

How are you organizing the DAY OF?! I have a large poster board with all vendors contact #s and arrival times...

ANY tips, ANYTHING would be so much appreciated.

GETTING MARRIED IN 12 days and have a 4 day business trip in between....

I didn't really do anything special. Everything just fell into place.

Damn- good question.

I will probably make a schedule (hourly) and make a few copies for my mom and sister, etc. This will have all the contacts with phone numbers and an hour by hour schedule.

Def have a list of all of your vendors and their info. I kept an accordion style folder with all of my vendor info in it. Every vendors folder or contract they gave me went right in there and that was my wedding organizer. I brought that with me to the RH just in case. Also, if you have certain things that are supposed to go certain places write them down on a peice of paper that goes to the RH on the day of your final appointment with all of your things. (ie - The name plaque, guest book, and card box all go on a table together. This table will be behind the dias table to the right. The cake table will be behind the dias table to the left. Escort cards go on the piano. ETC...). Not only did I send this list in the box to the RH, I also had another copy of this list with me on the day of and gave it to my banquet manager. Your BM is there to help you day of. I also made a detailed day of time line. This also went to the RH and then the BM.

Re: Girls without DOC

you really only need a couple of things:

* names and cell phone numbers of all vendors
* addresses you need to go to (church / RH / photo locations) in case limo doesn't have it
* the schedule of hair & makeup (who's getting their hair & makeup done when)

That's it ... everything else falls into place as others said

I think that's the best advice.

I had a list of all contacts as well. And I had a day of time that I emailed out to everyone prior. Bro in law printed everything into a booklet for everyone. But to be honest NO ONE looked at it.

Just know in your mind the rough scheduling of everything. Just go with the flow. Expect that things WILL go wrong and I think you will be less stressed.

Our family and close friends and a wonderful catering staff made our wedding happen for us. Everything ran really smooth with some minor blips that were not even a concern to us!

Good Luck!!!

I kept reminders of arrival times in my cell phone. Alarms rang 15 min before expected arrival. Other than that, I just relaxed. I confirmed with everyone a day or two before. Looking back, I did not even have everyone's phone # with me. I had total faith in my vendors. And everything went off without a hitch. And the whole day, I was relaxed and enjoyed myself.

as long as you keep in contact with them and double confirm the time and address and date (in know!) then you should be good. Have all the numbers (including cells) programed into your phone and your MOH, and FH. print out a paper that has the time and location and who you confirmed with of each vendor. and also give all the vendor numbers and information to your BM at the RH. They will also be able to help if something goes off.

Your RH person in charge of your wedding should set everything up for you, just let them know what it is your want..

I didn't have anything like that. I had my cell with all the numbers of vendors, but then I didn't even bring my cell. hahaha I was lucky though. I had amazing and reliable vendors. No problems day of with them.

I gave tips to my mom to hand out. I had them labeled in enevlopes.

I wrote down a schedule for myself for makeup/hair.

Other than that, I was fine. I didnt have charts or papers or bring my wedding binder. Everything went pretty smoothly. A few little bumps, but nothing really major.

Only would recommend giving a family member your must take photo list. I forgot this and regret that!

I'm going to trust my vendors and make sure my MOH and mom have all numbers.
