girls working on/done with invites

when you had the invites designed just for you did you go back and forth with the designer? after looking at the proofs i got yesterday literally 3801398 times, i realized that honestly i didnt 'love' any of them..parts of them, yes, but not as a whole..

but now i feel horribleeeeeee telling the designer this..

did any of you have this problem? how did the designers react?

dont worry, this is their job. for my shower invites i went back and forth about 5 times with 3 diff designs. then the 3rd and final 1 i have bout 20 emails back n forth with questions about stuff. this is 1 of the things u have to deal with if your vendor isnt local and ur only means of communication is email.

you shouldnt feel bad.
its a design process. it can take some time.

I feel the exact same way. I feel so bad telling them I don't like it or it isn't what I want. I feel even worse when, after all the emailing and all the designing, I don't work with them! I try to tell myself that this is their job, but it still makes me feel bad.

Yup 12. Then after I chose 2 of the 12 mockups....she made 7 proofs for me to pick from! FINALLY I was able to choose one that I love! That's what happens when you're so freaking indecisive like me

i dont even want to think about what fh is going to do. the invite is soooooooo important to him. i know he is going to drive me crazy

honestly, as a graphic artist, this is our job. we're not done until you, the client, is happy....even if we do want to strangle you because a word has to be moved over and 1/8 of an inch

She made me about 4 and now when I got the proof in the mail I wanted to make some changes.. But I emailed and called her and haven't heard back so now I'm getting nervous.. I mean I sent my paperwork back but I think she should return my emails right? Did anyone else experience this?

yup, i made the notes on the paperwork, so i just tracked it the paperwork was delivered yesterday but i had emailed her over the weekend.. so i guess she was hopefully just waiting on the paperwork to come back. did she receive your paperwork yet?

i like harass her lololllll

i actually just saw a few other details on some other work she recently did so i asked her to send me another sample with those details, no biggie, youre paying for it dont feel bad!

Not yet, I'm still waiting for my quote and sample.

when i filled out the initial paperwork, FH told me i was being too detailed. but i sent it to her anyway. within 1 day she sent me 3 designs. FH & I agreed on one we loved, our parents also loved the same one. within 3 days i received an e-mail proof.

i am just waiting on receiving one in the mail.

its best to put what your looking for all out there so then maybe you wont have so much back & forth.
