girls...need help making my DOC decision

If i go through with getting a DOC, no one is gonna know about it...im gonna pay for it myself!

OK.....I am an only child, and my mother is my right hand lady when it comes to planning this wedding...im afraid she is gonna feel like she has no say, if i get a DOC for the day of the wedding....i just want my mom NOT to worry about anything!!!!

What do you ladies think?

I say go for it. I am getting one and have no regrets. That day she will take care of everything and my friends and family can relax and enjoy the day. Most of all I can enjoy the day and not worry about a thing. She will handle all problems and making sure everything is done the way I want it to be done.

I'm in complete agreement w/Kim...I got a DOC for the same reason, and don't regret it one bit.

I got one simply because I didn't want my mom and my BP having to handle things if anything went wrong.

i didnt want my mom or BP to worry either, which is why I got one...I want everyone to have fun and leave problem solving to someone else.. and i am an only child too- I would get one!

I say that you should just save your money. Thousands of people have been married without one, and I don't see the need. I think it's an added expense.

when you hire a DOC is it just for one day or will she/he join you at rehearsal dinner, and possibly be there say the last 2weeks of getting everything right, etc.?

Who are you guys hiring and how expensive are they?

I completely agree and also if your mom finds out (which she might eventually), just tell her that you know that she will be stressed and nervous on your wedding day and and this should put everyone more at ease because it's the DOC's job if any problems arise... everyone else will just enjoy themselves...

It depends on the coordinator. I am using Rosalie from Expressions Events and she will be with me at the actual rehearsal to meet everyone and direct everyone. I like her so much I invited her to the rehearsal dinner as well to have a nice meal. Rosalie is in the $500+ range.

Hey Kim!!!!!

I think you should look into it.. After my sisters wedding I was exhausted. I ran around so she wouldn't have to worry about anything, and I missed a lot, and I was always late for pics, or trying to find other family members for pics... It was nuts, and I don't want my BMs to do that... It's worth looking into.

I'm using Michelle Nocella from Defining Moments. She's great to get along with... FM me if you want more info....

Good Luck!!! Let me know how you make out!!!
