Give me non typical ideas for Brother of the Bride gifts!!!

I don't know why I'm having the hardest time coming up with something! He's giving me away with my mom and I wanted to give him a little something extra besides the groomsman gifts.

I'm just not digging the standard beer mug, money clip, not into flasks or cigars, he's seriously into Texas Hold'em but has everything imaginable so all chip sets, boxes and cards are out.

Please give me some suggestions of what you've given/will give! Thanks!!!

**I figured it out!! I just ordered him a nice cherry wood valet box for his dresser. My SIL told me he's been wanting one! Yay!!!

first, wow...you've got just under 2 months to go now!!!

second, hmm...what does he do (work)? maybe you could get him something for work...a new briefcase? I'd get him something useful...but nice. Or maybe you could get him a nice dinner out?(yes, gift certificate) I'm not good with guy gifts...but i'm trying here...hmmm...

I know!!! It's just the hardest thing!!!!

He's FDNY, so no briefcase. And he's got more FDNY stuff than you can imagine too! He's just like my dad was... not into gadgets (no iPod... we got him Sirius radio two years ago and he has still not hooked it up), just into what he needs to live his life.

Dinner might be nice or I was thinking tickets to an Islander/Ranger game.

You know... I was just thinking... for my MOH sis, I was going to do a spa day where we both would go for facials.... I think my bro would do a facial! Is that queer of a gift? This is such a pain!!!

I did it!!!! I'm done!!! I just spoke to my sis in law who was helping me come up with things and we came up with a wood valet box for his dresser. He never had one and I always thought that he got my dad's after he passed away.

He needs it because he has about six watches from everyone else's wedding and his chains are all over. I just ordered a really nice cherry wood one from Amazon.com! Glad that's checked off!!!

Now... here's another question....

I want to get a little engraved tag to put on it. Do I do his initials or something like 'for you on my wedding day, love Denise'?

My brother loves taquila, so I bought him 2 local LI shot glasses with designs of local tourist points and a bottle of his favorite liquor.

I would put something on there along the lines of for the man that's giving me away..love denise...however...if he wants to make it a family heirloom to pass on....then i would put initials andmaybe a note inside!!!

Why don't you do something like that

MOST VALUABLE BROTHER
HIS NAME
AND THE WEDDING DATE

I can give you the name to the place in Seaford where we got ordered ours...
