Same exact thing. I signed up yesterday and received over 25 emails as well as a fone call last night. I replied to every vendor I didn't already have and said 'Thank you, but we have already booked _______ for our wedding. Please remove me from this list.'

Hope it works.

I have also been getting e-mails - but I have been married for three weeks - no need for vendors.

My only complaint is that in the notes section of the 'giveaway' sign-up - I said please do not put me on any mailing lists!!!!!

I guess they don't read the notes!

One of the emails I received included the email address of 50 other brides. This makes a bit uncomfortable. While I am comfortable with my contact info being shared with reputable vendors, I'm not happy with it being shared to anyone who happens to have also registered for the contest.

I know which e-mail Valenia is referring to - in my email address is my last name and my employer. Not good!! Everybody now knows our info! I'm really not happy right now.

Debbie08, I did email them and told them that next time they ought to send individually or use BCC to be more professional. Personally, I'd prefer it if LIW sent emails on behalf of vendors instead of giving up our addresses. (Plus it would give them more control, and ability to charge!)

OMG!! I didn't check my email yesterday & when I did this morning I had 36 new emails and I swear 15 were from vendors--if not more! HOW INSANE!!

OMG i am still going through my mail and I must've recived another 10 from vendors! how annoying---the ones I received only had my address on it though?? Maybe they caught on to the BCC concept!!

Yes- the same thing has happened to me. I just erase everything. I got a phone call from a nasty woman that made me feel bad b/c she wanted to do my makeup but had a minimum of 3 people! I said, I don't have 3 people & she made me feel like a loser- whatever!

Yeah, I've been getting them too! I would have never entered the contest if I knew I would have gotten this much email! I understand that they need to have the advertising to get the money but I can't take the vendor spam! I'm hoping the vendors remove me from their mailing lists when I kindly ask them to do so.

The 100's of emails get deleted.
Mail gets thrown away.

I have yet to get a call...

So far none of the things I've received have been helpful. I'm not using any of the vendors!!

I am wil you Teri - I have been getting them too and I am married for 2 months too!!! I usually use a fake email address or my junk email address for stuff like that but I figured what the heck - it's LIW and I never get wedding junk mail and when I signed up I gave my email address. I hate when promotions don't tell you they share your email address (the little check box on the bottom).

In the Mix Djs sent me an email...I sent them one back saying I am no longer a bride to be and they told me that Long Island weddings put my name on a list requesting information? WTH?
