Re: Giviing invitations to bridal party???
I'm sending them to everyone. Some of my Bm's like scrapbooking and want to see the invite or include it in an album, or are bringing guests. Some of the GM's wives and girlfriends are not in the BP so they should have the invite anyway. (Plus I want them to have the date and time IN WRITING just in case)...

You should send them. It's not that much more money unless you're having a huge BP. Plus they need to know the hotel info, etc.

Re: Giviing invitations to bridal party???
I KNOW everyone hates Emily Post, but I do know her book says that you do send invites to the members of the bridal party and your family. You do not have to send a response card, though.
I plan to send the bridal party invites AND response cards. I've gotten an invite to every wedding I've been in - and I'd find it weird if I didn't get one.
They may want it as a keepsake (at least a short-term one) - plus, they're invited. They deserve to get an invitation.
ETA - It also invites their significant other, etc.

I am going to send them to the bp and the parents. I may scratch sending an individual one to each of my siblings though (we all live in the same house and I doubt my little brothers (18 and 20) care if they get their own invite).

Yes, you should send invitations to everyone, even your BP!!!!!!!! It has all of the information that they're going to need and you don't want to be asked a billion questions from people like 'what time is it again?'
Besides, they would prob be really upset if they're standing up for you and didn't even get an invitation.

Given the cost of invites compared to the rest of the wedding, they're just not the place to cut corners by not giving them to certain people. I mean, cutting back on 5 - 10 invites isn't really going to do much for the budget, unless you somehow have extremely expensive invites.

Our invites are keepsakes (at least we think so... LOL) and were approx. $10 a piece... a bit on the expensive side, but as it relates to what we're spending on other things it will indeed make no difference in total cost. My mom is just being difficult.

I would it is nice for them to have an official invite, when it comes down to it it doesn't save you much money by not sending them one. I would.
I know someone who sent there FH as a joke, because he literally had nothing to do with the planning.

I am definitely sending invites to all of my BP and parents. I think I'll even send one to myself, just to see how quickly it arrives!

If your invite are keepsakes as you say, that's all the more reason to send them to the BP and to family, as they are the ones who will most appreciate it.

I'm going to be sending them. They help you so much with planning, I think they deserve one.
