Giving away centerpieces at the end of the night....

What are you doing to give away the centerpieces at the end of the night? Are you telling the DJ to make some sort of announcement? If so, what is the announcement going to be?

My mom suggested that it be the oldest person at each table who takes the centerpiece home...what do u think? is that ok?

I was trying to figure this one out too and then FMIL suggested we could give it to the person at each table whose birthday was closest to the wedding date.

Last wedding I was at, the DJ had someone from each table take out a dollar bill. The bill then got passed around the table while the music played.
When the music stopped, the person who pulled out the dollar bill got the centerpiece, and the person who wound up with the dollar bill got to keep the dollar.
Good for laughs.

I have seen too where instead of the closest birthday to the wedding date it is the closest anniversary date to the wedding date or who has been married the longest at the table.

We gave ours away but people at each table decided amongst themselves who was going to take it since we didn't want to do any games.

At my friend's wedding the other day the DJ played a song and we played hot potato with a napkin. Whoever had the napkin got the cp.

We did whoevers b-day was closest to the wedding date took it. We would have done whoevers anniversary was closest at each table, but we had a lot of singles at the wedding and that wouldnt have been very fair.

My DJ suggested giving one centerpiece to my FH mom and another to my sister and the rest of the centerpieces he is going to play a game. But, told me the game will be a surprise.

We're gonna have CLM hide a baseball card underneath a single chair and then whichever guest is sitting on that chair- they win! I stupidly told my niece and now she wants to cheat!

I had a smiliar idea....We are doing a donation favor, and each person will receive a card at their place setting. At each table there will be one card that has a sticker on the other side...that person can keep the CP (if they want!)

I was thinking of placing a cute poem underneather one chair in each table and have the DJ announce who ever has the poem gets the CP. Just a thought..dont know if I will follow through with it

I had one camera on each of the tables.. So... I had the DJ make an announcement that who ever volunteered to take pics with the disposable cameras that night gets the center piece..

I was thinking to do a trivia game with one question per table and whoever answers correctly gets the CP. The twist here is that the questions will all be about the bride and groom.
Nothing too deep but maybe funny things that some of them would know or like what's his middle name ( did they pay attention to the invite).

I was at a wedding and they did the nicest thing...about an hour before the end of the wedding the centerpieces disappeared....when everyone was leaving the got a bouquet made from the centerpiecs..it was great and then everyone gets to enjoy them....

that's is what my RH (Fox Hollow) is doing with my centerpieces. I am doing calla lillies so they'll take them, wrap them and present a small bo-k to everyone at the table.
