Giving wedding supplies away...

Giving wedding supplies away...

Hi, I have a few things I'm giving away. Leftovers from b/f the wedding. I have a couple of invites (rehearsal dinner or shower), some sheer blue ribbon cut in about 10' peices, some tosses filled with lavender. Some tissue packs (in clear glassine envelopes with floral seal).

I also have some things on Ebay, you can e-mail me or fm me if you want that info.

EDITED: tissue packs and rehearsal dinner invites have been claimed

Ribbon and tosses are left.

Re: giving some things away

Ok, the tissue packs have been claimed. I've had several people ask for the ebay link too, so here you go, or, do a search for newbridebrooklyn on ebay. I have some ribbon, some decorative flowers on there. That's about all that's wedding related.

I have to ask. Are you really auctioning the FREE coupon for Victoria's Secret underwear?

And you don't have to FM each person, there is the option to send multiple FM's now.

The rehearsal dinner invites are gone too. So, it's just the ribbon and the tosses that are left.

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

Isn't that illegal, I thought those were sent to everyone for you to come in and purchase, you cannot auction that off on ebay I thought Misty was just kidding, I went to the auction and that is actually an item

FREE PANTY COUPON VICTORIA'S SECRET NO SHIP 75 cents, these are free, how are you going to make a profit on something that is free from the company

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

They are sent to only certain individuals. If you search on ebay you'll find lots of them. I paid $2 for a $20 off coupon at JCrew b/c they hadn't sent me one, and there wasn't one on naughtycodes.com at the time, and my hubby needed new shoes.

Remember that site you sent www.naughtcodes.com? They make a profit publishing free codes and accepting advertising for their sites.

This makes it available to people who don't want to register w/the site or get their junk mail...do a search in gift certs. on ebay, you'll see lots. It's not against ebay's rules.

I'm on here all the time, for lots of things, and mistyeyed seems to follow me wherever I go:)

If either of you want ribbon or lavender tosses let me know, that's all I have left for free right now!

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

This has got to be a joke

15% off sale items at Gap babyGapKids GapBody auction bid starts at 40 cents or buy it now for $4, these things are free, I post these coupon codes here all the time. Why would people buy something they can get for free.

Julybride, are these things really on the auction block??? please tell me they are not???

I have signed up to websites that provide these codes to me.

The VS booklet I get in the mail with the monthly coupon for the free undies and $5 off the bra or sometimes as much as $19.50 off the bra. Now when they say people will sell anything I really now truly believe it.

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

read my above post. many people don't want to subscribe to these store's junk mail/catalogs/e-mail lists. They just want a coupon once. This helps them, and it only takes me a sec to post. Do a search for gap coupon on ebay, you'll find a ton of them. Same for victoria's secret coupon.

You may not think it's right, but for those who don't want their mailboxes/e-mailboxes filled with retail stuff, this works perfectly for them. For example, I didn't want to register at Target.com, but I did want the 10% off, so I bought the coupon online for $1. I saved $12. Worked for me.

It's no diff. than the site you published for us all. They do the same thing (only diff. is they get advertising $ for it). Same deal.

Ok, on the contrary, I do NOT follow anyone.

I just had A QUESTION about how you can sell a FREE COUPON for FREE UNDERWEAR that everyone with a Victoria's Secret credit card GETS.

Now, I'll FOLLOW my way out of here.

i agree with Shamma.

Just because ebay allows it doesnt mean its right to do. Its called FREE how can you make a profit off something like that. Why would someone want to PAY for something then can easily go to the website and get themselves.

Its wrong and you are taking advantage of people.

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

These are NOT things you can go to the website and get yourself! they are things sent to you ONLY if you belong to their e-mail/mail lists or have their credit card. There are PLENTY of e-mail/mailing lists I and others don't want to belong to, and plenty more I don't want to get credit cards from.

I don't want my e-mail box, or mailbox filled w/crap. So, if I need a coupon for Target, JCPenney, or some other place I don't belong as a member to, or for a coupon for Victoria's Secret that requires you have a credit card to get (I don't want their credit card-too many cards are bad for the credit score and we're considering buying a place soon), I go to Ebay and buy the coupon.

I've bought as many coupons on Ebay as I've sold, it just depends on whose mailing lists you want to be on. I know that if I need something and I want a coupon I can just go to Ebay and immediately get one. I do that myself, and am happy to have the option to do so. Sorry if you think others are taking advantage of me, but I'd rather just get the coupon and buy what I need for less, than have to make a phone call, ask friends, etc.

I'd never sell something you could just download off the website, that is against Ebay rules-and it's mean. I would only sell things that come to you b/c you are a member or are exclusive for some other reason (I am a member of J.Crew, but sometimes they only send their $20 off coupons to certain members and I don't get it-so I bid on ebay if I need it).

This allows people who don't want the memberships to still get the coupons/deals. They aren't stupid, they know if they subscribe to every mailing/e-mail/credit card list in the world they can have all the coupons they want too. They're like me-they just don't want every offer in the world to sift through.

Edited to add: many of the coupon buyers on ebay are guys who are shopping for gifts and trying to save $. they want an easy way to save $ so this is an easy way for them to get the coupon w/out having to make any effort or risk subscribing to mailing lists.

And, they don't have a website like this to hook them up (and they don't want one:), they'd rather pay .50 to save $10 or $20 w/out a hassle).

OK, I'm done defending myself now

You keep promoting your stuff on here w/o paying LIW for vendor fees is wrong. One time was cute, 2 times cute, but bombarding the boards with it every week is annoying IMO. If anyone wants the stuff I am sure they will find you.

Misty stop following this woman around you freak you I did not know you would have been that type What do you want a coupon for something, go bid on it

I have stated my point and I am done. FREE is FREE for a reason.

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

The ribbon and tosses are still available, that was what this post was originally about! Edited to add: anyone who wants any of the codes I have on Ebay is welcome to them of course! I think I've posted most of them in the past already...on NWR.

I posted it on NWR if anyone is interestedGap Coupon

Good Luck with your ebay, but I really think it is tacky to show all your personal ebay items when it is a wedding board.

Yes, I showed my Ebay link once but I was selling an extra Wedding Proof Album and I only posted it to Newlyweds.
julybride444 Posted:

Re: Giving wedding supplies away...

I'm selling wedding related items too (if you look), and I posted the coupon links a while ago (not the gap, just got that). Sorry if you think it's tacky, but many of us can use the heads up when one of us us selling on ebay. We're all either saving for weddings, or paying them off (those of us that don't have mom and dad to do it for us-not that there's anything wrong with that either), and can use the savings by buying on ebay.

The point of this thread was to GIVE stuff away anyway.
