Are there any areas of Glen Cove that we should be weary of or is it all nice? We've just starting looking at mlsli.com to get an idea of what is out there (trying to see if we need to sign 1 more lease or if it may be possible right after the wedding) and a lot of what we like seems to be in Glen Cove.
TIA.

Re: Glen Cove
I am from Old Brookville, so I know Glen Cove well. DH and I lived in a townhouse for a few years when we first moved in together in Glen Cove. My mom is also a teacher there. Glen Cove is not really a great area. Its not terrible, just not great. You definitely have to be careful with some areas. They do have projects in Glen Cove.

I was born and still live in Glen Cove. We love it here. Of course there are some bad places (The Landing has a bad rep) but it's a great town (well, a city to be exact). It's also very diverse--something that is important for me when I am raising my children.

Woudl you stop doing everything the same as me!?!?! We live in Glen Cove! I love it here.....sure, we're not in the most amazing area ever....but it's close to the water, close to some really beautiful areas, and there is a lot of great shopping, and really great restaurants nearby. I could see us living here forever!

When did you buy there because obviously I will need to do it exactly one year later!

We actually found our co-op at the end of November, and then moved in the beginning of March (that was a fun month...painting, moving and getting ready to get married in three short weeks.....while both of us were working full-time.....woohoo!!!)
