Glenmar Photographer
To those of you checking out Glenmar - we went last night, and while I really liked the work, we were a bit put off by the 'hard sell' by a lady named Barbara. My suggestion - if you are going to Glenmar, be prepared for the push - they literally were ready to offer us any 'extras' we wanted if we signed last night, which always makes me wary. If they were the last photogapher we had scheduled, we might have gone for it, but we have 2 more to see.IMO their work is good, they do offer some candids / artistic in color & B&W (not photojournalism, which we do not want), their prices are competitive, but beware of the push.
We were referred to them by friends who were extremely happy with the work. They too got the hard sell, passed on it (like us) and when they went back to book, almost all the 'extras' did not apply
BTW - yes they do include an engagement shot, it will be at the studio. They have a romm with couches, etc.

Re: Glenmar Photographer
That is exactly what I would have said if I had written the post. The woman Barbara was quite obnoxious to my mom when we were looking and it was one of the main reasons why we did not hire them. Although, their work is supposed to be very good and people are happy with them, you just have to be able to ignore the personality which I did not want to deal with.

Re: Glenmar Photographer
Also, they have a 'mini video', which we liked. We don't want the table talk (where the videographer goes around asking for people to say something), and the mini video seems to be everything but that, and the baby photos at the beginning - just the main stuff

Re: Glenmar Photographer
Thanks for all that info! I am glad I didn't meet with Barabra, it may have affected my decision. We went and didn't feel at all that hard sell. I mean they clearly would have liked us to sign that day, but we didn't feel uncomfortably pressured or anything. When we went back to a second time to discuss (and sign) he honored everything he said in our original discussion and even threw in an extra as we were signing! THAT made us happy with our decision.

Barbara was so nice to me and my mom when we went. She wasn't pushy at all when we were there. Shr was nice and made us feel very comfortable. We booked on the spot and couldn't be happier. My engagement photos came out incredible!
