Glenmar question

Hi Ladies...I have a question regarding a photographer named 'Tom' that everyone seems to say is really great at Glenmar. When I called them to request him, they told me that there are 2 photographers by that name. Does anyone know if that's true? Better yet, does anyone know what his last name is? TIA!

hmmm.. interesting. That is who we are using and on our contract it just says 'Tom' and does not specify which one.

Ugh, I don't know...that place sketches me out. I don't trust anything they say anymore! But, being that my wedding is in 2 and half weeks, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they do a good job!
By the way, congrats on booking the Carltun!!! It's an amazing place! I'll let you know how everything goes....

Re: Glenmar question

I didn't even see before that there is where you are getting married!!

Who are you working with there??

Honestly- all my friends have used Glenmar- and my parents used them for my bro's bar mitzvah 20 years ago.. I mean, they have been in biz this long and all my friend's albums are awesome. They may be a little slippery, but I am sure your pics will come out great.

Doesn't it say who your photographer is on your contract???

NKA,
How come you don't trust them? Did something happen in particular?

Re: Glenmar question

I originally booked them b/c my best friend's family has also used them over the years for a bunch of different occasions and all of their pictures are gorgeous. At the time I signed the contract, my friend didn't remember the name of the photographer that they had used (it turned out to be Tom). When I called Glenmar back to give them his name, they told me that there are 2 'Tom's and even if I requested a particuliar photographer, they couldn't guarantee that I would get them b/c they do the schedule the week before.
I don't know what it is about them, but they make me uneasy. Maybe it's just me....
I'm going to go there in person this weekend and get everything settled. Also, I have 2 photographers doing to my wedding (one for traditional pictures and one for photo-journalism) so maybe I'll get both 'Tom's!!

Re: Glenmar question

I got my engagement proofs back and I am a little sad. I don't like any of them............

I am taller than my fiance and in some of the pictures, I was positioned to sit above him, so I look taller in the pictures. I didn't want my height to be accentuated.

I don't like the whole 'cheek to cheek' thing either. It looks really unnatural.

Although I know 2 people personally who have used them and I LOVE their album, I am starting to have doubts about booking them.

I don't want to feel this way. Can anyone help?
