Re: Glenmar Studios for Photgraphy/Videography
Hi
I booked Glenmar for Photography back in November for my July 4, 2003 wedding. They were recommended by my hall and they do fabulous work.
I have not seen their video capabilities, yet, but when I go for my engagement photo, I will check them out.

Re: Glenmar Studios for Photgraphy/Videography
A lot of people have used them and love their work. I went to look at them with my Dad who is very experienced with photography. He thought the albums they showed us were the best we had seen BUT, when he asked to see some proofs, we were told that all the brides had already picked them up so we could not see any. This concerned him because he wondered if the albums they were showing us were all touched up. Which you can do but it costs a lot of money. All the other studios gave us as many proofs as we wanted to see without a problem. Also, if you can deal with the attitude of the sales person there then I would recommend the place. She insulted my mom while we were there and was really pushy, actually gave me a phone so that I could call and ask my fiance if we should take the place and wanted money before I walked out the door. Also, because I was not getting married in the city at the Waldorf, I felt like I got second hand treatment there. The owner only worked with those brides and actually came in to take away the albums we were looking at so they could see them first.
As I said, there work may be good but you have to be able to deal with them. Everyone gets a long with different personalities so it is a very personal thing. Good luck!

Are we talking about the Glenmar in Roslyn or in NJ? I booked with Glenmar in Roslyn for my wedding next year, they were very nice and accomadating. There was a bride picking up her proofs that night, and she was kind enough to share them with us and they were beautiful. I found them to be great to negotiate with (got a few extras thrown in). I also liked the idea of using a studio that has been around a long time and has lots of experience-I liked a husband/wife photographer team a lot, but was worried about backup people in case they got sick, indisposed, whatever...at least w. a studio they have backups just in case.

I used Glenmar Studios in Roslyn for my May wedding and loved them. I would recommend them without hesitation. We had Mike as our photographer and he did excellent work.
We did not encounter any pushy sales people and were able to see both albums and proofs when we went. I have no complaints.
They've been in business a long time and don't advertise, which says tons about their business. We got an excellent package and can't wait to go in next week to start out album.

Glenmar in Roslyn. They were not pushy at all and the saleslady was very nice (her name was Barbara). We saw several albums and proofs and liked what we saw.
I booked them right on the spot and feel very confident about my decision.

Wow, they must have had a bad night when I was there or I am expecting too much from my vendors. They would not show us anything except the two books that we were allowed to look at. I am glad you guys had a different experience, must have been a bad night.
