So, I feel like my FH and I were too easily convinced to sign with Glenmar. The price of our package seemed very fair, but I'm thinking the photos may not be as artistic and photojournalistic as I want them to be.
If you looked at Glenmar, but decided to go elsewhere - could you tell me why?
We booked John H. Does anyone have any experience with him?
I've looked at the other Glenmar threads - some are quite old and there only seems to be one review that includes proofs.

I booked Glenmar.
They are on the more traditional side, but you will get photojournalistic shots as well.
my e-pics are in my album. those were just a few.
I looked through every book inthe studio, and they had great candid shots!
We booked Arthur. He did FSIL's wedding and they came out great.

hey I sent you Fm-- we too used Glanmar-- and I loved everything about them!! I had Corey and Jessica ( traditional photographer & photojournalist) ... each pic is better than the next!!!

We met with them....and did NOT book. The package they offered was around the same price as the package we learned about from the company we went with...but it didn't give us much at all.
I think we would've gotten a photographer for maybe 8 hours, an album OR 2 small parent albums and a few prints...nothing spectacular.
When we compared it to the slightly higher priced package that gave us: all of our digital negatives, $300 in prints/portraits, our album, 3 DVDs, online capabilities for friends/family and a truly modern photographer it was a no brainer.

we also booked with glenmar!! they were recommended by my hall and i didn't read one bad review about them on here. we are also having john h. when we booked there was a bride there putting together her album and i talked to her and looked at her pics. she had nothing but good things to say and her pics were gorgeous!!

Well, we've since decided to cancel our booking with Glenmar. Thankfully, they were very gracious and let us have our deposit back. I just think I have a different vision for my photos and I don't want to settle just because they gave us a great package.
I'm going to Duet on Monday and I'm excited about it. Duet seems to be very popular around here and usually I'm suspicious of things that are too popular, but all of the pictures I've seen seem to be exactly what I'm looking for.
I've definitely learned my lesson with this one. Unless you feel 100% positive about a vendor - don't sign a darn thing!

Can you please tell me what date did you sign the contract and leave the deposit, and what date you cancelled it?
