Gliders?????

We finally ordered our crib and dresser after much research. We are happy with our decision and we can't wait to get the nursery started. For those of you that have glidders what is your opinion on them? Must have? or something you could lived without? Just curious because the one I'm interested is $489 it reclines is that a necessary feature? Or should I opt for the cheaper model that doesn't. I would really hated to spend $300-$500 on something I won't use especially if I'm not going to be working.

The only reason I loved mine was it was the only chair I could get in and out of after my c-section. Other than that it sits in Emmas room not being used 90% of the time.

I only love mine cause I love the way it looks. I prop her up in it for pictures, it fills the corner and looks really nice. I never use it though. I sit and nurse in the Herman Miller office chair we have because it supports my back. Plus, in the beginning, you have to kind of keep the baby awake while she's nursing and nothing works against that more than a chair that can glide smoothly back and forth!

We love our Glider. Both Scott and I 'tried' all the gliders together and then decided on one. We both use it often. Plus I love the way mine looks too.

Re: Gliders?????

I was given my SILs glider when I was about 6 months preg. I use it every day SINCE then. When I was preg, it was the most comfortable thing that I could get in and out of....
and when I was BFing, it was comfy, I coujld arrange Julianne easier on that chair than anything else.
I use it every night now...and she is almost 14 months old...when I give her a nightly bottle
