Gloves at the ceremony...

Gloves at the ceremony...

Ok, so I never really thought that I liked the way the long gloves looked but FH pointed out that he kinda likes it so I was thinking about considering it. But my question is... i I'm wearing this long glove practically up to my elbows, what do you do when you put your rings on? Do you take the glove off? Does the ring go over the glove? Nothing I am thinking of seems right?

Just as confused as you are. Things this difficult probably shouldn't be done

I think I have seen gloves where the ring finger portion can get pulled back to expose the finger for the exchanging of the rings. I'll try to find them for you online...

I wore long gloves for my 1st wedding....

the gloves stay on

you cut a little slit on the finger at the base of your ring finger, on the palm side....

the gloves are stretchy, so when the time comes, you slip your ring finger out of the gloves, do the ring thing, then put the finger back in the glove - with ring inside....

a little awkward - but really, nobody can see what's going on....

and the gloves do look pretty....

Yes, my friend wore gloves. It looked really elegant, especially if you are having a black tie wedding. There is a slit that is cut in the ring finger and that way the glove stays on.

I wore elbow length gloves down the aisle and took them off and handed them to my MOH with my boK.

This is what I did - It was very simple and quick and no one noticed a thing. I didn't think it was awkward.

I've even heard of gloves where the left ring finger on the glove has velcro and you can just take it off, put the ring on, and then reattach it. The slit is probably easier though and this way it doesn't look like you're putting a finger back on!

I was just talking to my sister about this. She wants gloves for the bm dresses. But i think depending on the dress some of them won't look right with gloves. I think the whole bride wearing gloves look is elegant but acward when you put on the ring
