my invites require $1.00 postage not including my response cards.
i go to the post office to see what stamps they have..
for my response cards i have to use the ugly forever stamps.. thanks to the whole postage crisis!!
but the only dollar stamps they have are ugly.
so i went on zazzle and i am thinking about getting personalized stamps.. maybe me and fh e pic. they dont do dollar stamps...
so i am thinking of getting the 42 cents formthem and then buy the 59 wedding hearts from the post office..
now here is the stressing part... zazzle makes their stamps in 3 sizes, and also vertical or horizontal...
these stamps have to match up with the post office stamps.. i dont want a huge stamp and then a tiny stamp..do i try to make it work
of should i just use the wedding hearts for all and call it a day?
my mother thinks the personalized stamps are tacky by the way..what do you think?
ridiculous isnt it? thanks for reading..i figured since the boards were slow you could use some entertainment!!

Hey Dana i think your stressing over something that you shouldnt let bother you. Noone is going to remember what stamps were on the envelopes except for maybe the Brides, I know there not pretty as you can tell by mine, if you got it, I used the $1 stamps and then had to put a few on the rsvp just to make sure it was enough. Its no big deal really Dont stress about it!

Personally I think the personalized stamps are cute!
I think I would use the heart stamps for the invites...and skip out on personalized ones until the Thank You's. That way the personalized stamps are the only ones on the envelope.

I am in the same situation! Need $1 stamps for invites and have to do the 44 cent stamps for response cards. Went to post office - they suggested doing two of the peach-colored .59 cent Love stamps for the outers and Forever (so ugly!) for the response. Basically, they will be making money off us!

I think the two hearts will look nice, even if it is a big envelope I'd rather have two matching, same size stamps than a big personalized one and a average size stamp next to it....

Re: go ahead tell me...
listen ladies, we are going with the horrible 1 dollar stamp. My mom bought them on accident because when she looked at them they looked like a design of some sort. After looking closely she decided that they look like transformer stamps! Unfortunately, the post office will not let her return them. Im not going to lose over 100 dollars on stamps! So if my guests are looking at/caring about or judging the stamps then they need to get a life!

Seriously...its a stamp. My invites were $1 and yes I used that stamp you call ugly.....I call it a stamp and it was exactly the postage I needed. and in my opinion its looks a lot worse to have a bunch of stamps on there just so you can have hearts.....my invites went out over a month ago and no one commented on the stamp...they did on the actual invite though....thats what you should stress about not a stamp.
