Godparents Update
Well most of you know my saga and offered me a lot of advise so I wanted to post a quick update.
I spoke to the women at the Church in charge of Christenings. She said we need 1 confirmed adult over the age of 16, then the other godparent (really, called a Christian Witness, unless they are confirmed) can be anyone else as long as they are a bapitzed Christian. So since NO one in Scott's family is confirmed Barbara wins! But I have to let him decide if he wants his brother or my brother to be the Godfather. I told Scott he can ask his brother, but he needs to speak to him first because I will go crazy if his brother just blows stuff off and doesn't see this as an honor since I know my little brother would.
We asked Barbara on Mother's Day. It was really important to me and I just couldn't wait to ask her. I gave her a card telling her how much our friendship has meant and continues to mean to me and for those reason and many, many more we want her to be our baby's godmother.
She cried and said 'Really, really. Are you serious' And I started to cry and said, 'Of course we are. We wouldn't joke about that'.
So it is all working out okay. Besides we might have to 'save' my little brother for a someday 2nd baby because we need a confirmed adult and very few people fit that bill.
