We just practically finalized our guest list last night and Dont know how this happened but we got to 311 on our list.. That is insane and Im soo upset over it .. But we there are just some people that cant be cut!!! Im devastated This gets soo expensive and now I wish I picked a cheaper hall .. oh well to late now

Don't worry. Right now I am close to a 25% no response rate and I heard this is very common. So at approximately your guest list size and approximately at a 25% no response rate... you might be down to 230 people!! That's better right??

I definitely feel your pain. We were up to 253 ish when we finally sent out our invites. The good thing is, you'll probably have more people you think say no. We did. You'll figure it out, don't worry!

OMG! I completely understand everything you are going through. I wanted a much smaller wedding with about 140 people TOPS! Our guest list is about 240 because my FUTURE IN LAWS invitied 115 on there own!!!! I flipped and than asked them them to cut it. They keep telling us they need to be invited out of respect, most won't come anyway, blah blah blah. If we have an extra 100 people and I am expected to come with an extra $15K, I will be leaving town.
I tolf them if all their people come, they have to pay the difference. What am I supposed to do ya know??? I wish I chose a less expensive place as well. Oh well.
Need about 80-100 No's!!!!!!

same here! we went from 244 when we sent our STD's to 308 for invites. our room can only hold 275, so I def need 20% to decline.

We invited 366 and were at 262 right now... i wouldnt worry too much... a lot of people dont bring a guest... and you will have unexpected No's

i originally guaranteed 125 thinking it wouldnt be more that 140. i ended up inbiting 250 people and my final number's 175

Sorry! I feel you, my room only holds 100 and the guest list is at 140 as it stands. I am soooo worried over this!!! I hope it works out for you!

WOW....well if it makes you feel any better, was talking to a cousin's son that is getting married next year at Marina del Rey, they are having 415!!!!
