So... I saw Nubride had to go back to work after 6 weeks, but does anyone else have to go back after 6 weeks, or is it just me??? We just can't afford for me to be home!

Re: Going back to work...
I will be taking 3 months as well. Since that is a law that any place in NY has to guarantee your position if you return with in 12 weeks.
In fact, I am not sure that I will be returning to work after the 3 months is up! It depends on how everything goes...

Re: Going back to work...
I am taking 12 weeks off, then going P/T for the following 12 weeks, then going to 4 days per week after that.
Melissa- MANY new mothers go back to work after 6 weeks. But make sure you don't have any vacation time that you can also tack onto that or perhaps go back for 4 weeks part-time if you can.
Start looking into daycare NOW. I am already on 2 waiting lists and I don't need care until March 1. So don't put that off.

Re: Going back to work...
We have an appt. this week to see an on Campus daycare/preschool at Duke University where my husband works. If we like it we're going on the waiting list ASAP. The baby will need to be in daycare for only 2 days a week since my mom will watch the baby 3 days a week. It's still expensive!

Michele I though you were bringing the baby to Scott's job?
