Hmmm you should be okay. I don't think we ordered until December and they were here in March.

You should definitely be fine. I was told to have the girls order the dresses 6 months out. We put all the measurements in in January and I think Lillette's officially ordered the dresses in February or March. They just came in this week.

Your not REALLY late but your pushing it. I'm 9-17 and the order was placed 3 weeks ago. I think you have until the mid-end of May to place the orders.

Re: GOING BM DRESS SHOPPING

hey sweetie,

Im havin my girls order them by May1st. cause they take typically 14-16 weeks to come in.. which leaves me only 1 month or so before my wedding so Im kinda nervous but should be ok the girl said. It took me soo long to decide on dresses so I wish I kinda ordered awhile ago .. i would def try and get something within the next 2 weeks if I were you to be on the safe side:) good luck!!! where you guys goin shopping>

Re: GOING BM DRESS SHOPPING

I think you are ok as long as you order them but mid-May. I learned that whatever the bridal store tells you, always add about 2-3 weeks to that. FMIL ordered her dress for FSIL's wedding 2 months before and they tell you like 4 months before and her dress was in on time but pushing it. You'll be fine. If you are worried about alterations have the girls bring it to their own place, it's usually faster then going through the bridal shop.

I guess it depends on where you get them from. Im getting married in December, and the designer wanted the final order by friday, so we were in the city on Tuesday...
Good Luck!

I was told to do them at least 5 months out, but that I could do 4 with some dress companies. We ordered them in January (Melissa Sweet) and they came in in March.
