Going car shopping today! What should I get??

My lease is up on my Civic...I love the car, but I want to go a step up from it!

These are the ones I'm considering:
Honda Accord
Mazda 3 or 6
Nissan Altima
Saturn Ion
VW Jetta

Anyone have any of these? Can you tell me anything about them?

I would go with the Accord or the Jetta. Both hold their value and are excellant cars.

my friend has an ion and loves it - my parents also own a sautrn and have found it to be the most patient and caring car company they have ever dealt with....just something to consider!

I love my Bug. The Jetta's a great car, and it defintiely does hold value. And they have a great safety rating.

Remember if you are leasing or plan on owning for at least 5-6 years... the resale value really isn't as important.

Just got back...I got the Accord EX in blue...and when my lease is up, I will have paid less than what I paid on my Civic!!!

when you look into VW check out the engines. I know about 7 people who own VWs and only one hasn't had reoccuring engine trouble (coil packs, etc.). I just had my engine fixed about a month ago. We love our Mazda though! We have the Tribute!

don't get a VW!!!!!!!!

Get the Honda or anything other than a Jetta - I had sooooo many problems with my 2000 Jetta, I turned my lease in early and got money back from VW!!!

I have an 01 VW (Passat) and have had NO PROBLEMS WITH IT AT ALL!!! BUT my grandmother (who doesnt drive anymore THANK GOD!!!) had a 97 Jetta with all sorts of problems. I think since then VW has been working on them and fixing all the bugs, parden the pun. Check out Consumer Reports for their reliability rating. I think they are pretty good now!

I have a 2002 Jetta LOVE IT! No issues at all! I know about 7 people with various VWs not one has had any issues! One has a 69 Bus and it still has the original engine and its going strong!!! Gotta love those ones that just keep on tickin'!!

But I saw you got the Accord! Great car!!! Very nice choice!!! Good Luck with it!!
