Going dress shopping!!!!!

I'm so excited! I'm going wedding dress shopping with my mom tomorrow for the first time! I have no idea what I want so it should be interesting!!! Any words of advice?

Try on what you think you like but also, if you have a good sales associate-try on what she suggests I found everything I wanted to try on did not look good with my body type but, my sales associates generally knew better and had me try on alot of dresses that I would never have picked up-Have fun!

Have fun tonight!!! This is soooo exciting!!! Everyone says to try everything on, which is true! As far as when you're gonna know if it's the ONE, you'll just know. I found mine by putting it on and when I looked in the mirror I saw my FI at the end of the aisle and I could feel myself walking towards him. It was meant to be!

Thats so exciting!!! Bring a strapless bra and a slip if you want some coverage - i also brought shoes that are the same height I am going to wear. Another bride had a brilliant idea she brought a digital camera with her in her purse and when she was left alone in th efitting room she took pictures in the mirror!!! Keep us updated and let us know how it goes!!

Trust the sales associate - my dress is nothing like what I thought I wanted!!

Have fun! Try on everything, even things you don't like on the hanger! I think a lot of us ended up with a dress that we didn't initially think we'd like! Lastly, bring pics of dresses you like so the girls helping you get an idea of what you're looking for!

Yes I agree with everyone! Bring a strapless bra, and try on what they suggest! I never in a million years would have picked out my dress. Those ladies know what they are doing!! Have fun, and try to take pics!!

Same advice as everyone else: try on everything. You will know when you are wearing YOUR dress. And have fun! If it isn't fun, leave and go another day!

thanks for all the advice ladies!!! I'm going to Lillette's in Baldwin and Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook (I won a gift certificate for a headpiece there so I'm going to check them out too. I'll let you know how it goes!!!
