Going Dress Shopping! UPDATE - FOUND MY DRESS!!

My mom and I are hitting Bridal Suite of Bayshore and Lillettes today - wish me luck!

I found my dress! I was starting to think it would never happen, but when I went to Lillettes, there were 3 dresses I was torn between. So I tried them on again, narrowed it down to two, and then tried them on AGAIN, and it was no contest - Paloma Blanca all the way. It is perfect for the setting of my wedding. It's all silk, so it's light (great for an outdoor wedding in June), it's got ruching all over the bodice with just a little bit of beading up along the side and top, and it's simple and pretty, just like I wanted. Ooh, and buttons down the back, I really wanted those too. I'm so happy! I didn't want to take it off in the store! I kept making stupid small talk with the saleslady just to keep it on longer.

They wouldn't let me take pics until I buy it, but this is the ridiculously silly picture from the website:

Now, try to imagine the lady standing upright and not covered with rose petals. I wish there was a better pic of it online () but there will be next week when I buy it and show it to you ladies!

Yes Gerri is very awesome! She's acutally FH's parents old next door neighbors.. I'm actually meeting with her at Lillette's on the 22nd.

I worked with Lydia. She was great. She showed me a few dresses, got a sense of what I liked and didn't like, and from then on, every dress she picked out for me was pretty spot on. Even stuff I didn't think I'd like - she always knew better than I did!

Aren't those flowers the stupidest thing?! WHY would you cover the dress like that, and pose the girl like that, and make it hard to see??? Brilliant advertising tactic right there. I never would have picked it out from a magazine - but I love it in person!
