Going for first look at gowns! Where to go???

Hi girls,

So I am finally going to go look at gowns for the first time! Any suggestions as to where to go for the 'first look'? I wear a plus size and would like to actually try on dresses! I am thinking RK Bridal. Any other suggestions?

I got my dress at Macys Bridal in Manhasset, I have nothing but great things to say about them

I am not sure though, if they have plus siz dresses to try on

RK has a ton of dresses. I recommend them.

It's better though to go on a weekday and have some ideas of what you might want (since they have so many dresses to choose from).

I just had a fantastic experience at RK Bridal yesterday! I think its a great place to start off...

I would suggest David's Bridal, they have a wide range of dresses so you can try a zillion on to find a style you like, plus they have the dreses in every size so they will zip up and you can see what it really looks like and not have to pin it or leave it partly zipped.

Theres a place in Bayshore, not sure of the name though. They carry plus size gowns. Sorry I'm not more help.

I went to Wedding Atelier during a sample sale -- appointment only -- few dressing rooms and plenty of attention. It was a pampering experience. Dresses range from $800 ~ $5000.

I highly recommend RK bridal! Ask for Olga she rocks! RK also has samples in a bunch of sizes so its nice that all the dresses are not only in the typical size 10 sample size.

I went to Lynbrook bridal and i got great service but they didn't carry the particular gown that I was looking for. i ended up at bridal reflections in Carle Place and i kinda wish i would have stayed in Lynbrook
