I live in an apartment building and my upstairs neighbors are driving me crazy! Their kids have been running around the house stomping and screaming all day long and I can't take it anymore! Now they're blasting the radio and I don't know what to do. I only went up there once to complain and it was not a good experience. THe kids had been running around from 4 in the afternoon until midnight! I complained to their mother at midnight and when the father got home at 2am he had the nerve to ring my bell and yell at me for going upstairs to complain to his wife! He even brought backup, some huge guy stood behind him while he yelled at me to open the door.When they got back upstairs they blasted their music and started jumping up and down the entire apartment. Last night and the night before the kids were running around until 2 am. The rest of the week it died down around midnight. Does anyone have any advice? What can I do to make them stop?

Have you gone to the Landlord yet? Try talking to him/her about the situation, but your neighbors sound crazy and it may not be a bad idea to start looking for a new place to live for after the wedding.

talk to your landlord and/or call the cops on them (it may be a good idea to talk to your landlord first so you have him as backup).

We had crazy neighbors at our last apartment. Beyond crazy, actually. AND so f'ing inconsiderate (just like you are describing).
We moved about a month after the moved in!

wow....sounds like a horrible situation....you should definitely talk to your landlord about the other family.

That *****! My upstairs neighbor stomps around too, sometimes I take a broom or something and bang on my bedroom ceiling. All this while studying can't be good!

Def speak to the landlord, then look into local noise laws. I know usually on the weekends it has to be quiet by 11pm, even earlier during the week. If they are still loud past that time, you can call the cops, they can tell them to quite down!

The same thing happen to me. I spoke to them about it a couple of times, but the same thing kept happening, so I ca;;ed the police. They got mad, but they got the point.

The landlord is not going to do anything about it. The neighbors upstairs are the supers! I'm going to look into local noise laws. I'm going to start looking for a place in March.

Their Behavior is Unacceptable. You had every right to go up there and complain. I would call what he was doing some type of harassment. That was not right what he did. I would of felt Imtidated. That's probably what he wanted. I would tell you Super and see what he can do about it!!!! Good Luck Honey!!!!
