Fh and I are planning to go to Hawaii--Maui and Kauai for honeymoon--12 days. I'm trying to get an idea of how much spending money we'll need for food, entertaiment (Ballpark is fine). If you haven't been yet, how much are you budgeting for?

I think we're putting about $10,000. The trip... hotel, airfair, inter-island flight, and it includes free buffet breakfast for 12 nights is about $6600 and then we're putting a few thousand aside for nice dinners, excursions, etc.

FH and I are planning a Hawaii honemoon....10 days, 3 islands: Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. That is coming out to $6000, flight, hotel and car included....We figured take a few more $$$$ with us, round off to $3500

We went to Maui & Kauai for our HM. You are going to love it. We spent about $6000 on the hotel & air and then brought a couple of thousand for lunch, dinner, gifts and activities. It all depends on where you eat and what activities you are going to do. Everything is expensive on both islands, but it was worth every penny. If you have any other questions, you can FM me.

I spent a month in Hawaii a couple of summers ago. I love Kauai!! I would expect to spend a couple of thousand, but that's because you'll probably buy so much stuuf. Try going to outlets like ABC stores (or even Walmart) for t-shirts, magnets etc. You should definitely go to Bubba's Burgers on Kauai (cheap and delicious) for lunch at least once and you'll probably want to do a luau, which can be expensive, but worth it. I would also recommend surfing lessons, which can get pricey, but sooooo much fun. I miss Hawaii! tell it I said 'hi!'
