and I am getting a hair cut, but they charge $20 to dry it. Which i am cheap and dont want to spend- but I dont understand how Im supposed to tell if the cut is how I want it or if I should have them take more off or anything like that. Should I suck it up and spend an extra $20?

Re: going to a hair appointment...
well, you could think of it this way: if you are not sure you will like how they do it, is it cheaper (and easier) to pay the $20, or to go home, dry it yourself, and find you have to go back again?
also, how much do you trust your stylist? How easy is it go get a new appt. if you need one? Can you afford to waste your time on a second appt.? Could you get your hair cut by someone a little less expensive (and still like it?) HTH
ETA: I personally would either suck it up, or find a cheaper salon... but it is a personal preference thing. Either way, good luck!

While $20 does seem like a lot for simply blowdrying hair. You may want to splurge to get an idea of the cut's style etc.

I agree!
I'm cheap, but I'd splurge for the drying--besides..it's not everyday someone does this for you.
