Going to a Wedding on Saturday & I have a question!

The church is at 1pm the reception is at 6pm what do I wear to the church?

u can wear nice slacks or skirt with a nice top.

You don't have to get too dressed up.
A pair of slacks would be fine.

I did this for my cousins wedding. After church, came home, and got dressed for reception!

i went to a wedding a few weeks ago that wasn't too close to my house. ceremony was at 1 pm and reception was at 5 pm. i ended up wearing the evening gown to the ceremony. probably a fashion faux pas, but i wasn't about to drive almost one hour back home to change or schlep around a change of clothes.

I usually just wear a nice top and skirt/pants...I am not one for wearing the gown to church..

This is why all of that time in between is understandable for church weddings/pictures but really inconvenient for the guests. I'd probably wear the same outfit for both. I'd rather be a bit overdressed than under.

I agree just nice casual clothes. I went to an old HS friend's ceremony this weekend and my ex-boyfriend from HS showed up in a sweatshirt, mesh basketball shorts and a hat! A HAT!! I just held FH's hand and thanked God I was with him!!

Defintiely wear somehitng nice, slacks sounds fine. My uncle showed up to my sister's ceremony in like, a white t shirt. He didn't come to the rehearsal so he didn't realize he would be walking my mom down the aisle. Made the pictures look So stupid! Ahhh! Just dress nicely in case you show up in pictures!
