Going to apply for my passport today!

I have to get my passport soon as well

I got my picture done at Kinko's yesterday. It's actually one of the few pics of myself that I like.

Sorry, no matter what I do, it's a freakishly huge picture of me! Too bad

Yippy!!! I will be there in what 5 weeks- I went to the post office downstairs in the Roosevelt Field Mall they do everything there , application picture included- all in 1 stop! what a mug shot -I hate my pic!!!!

Hi its downstairs right outside of Macys, you need original very important- birth certificate with the stamp on it ( you will get it back with your passport) and your drivers license, if you dont have a drivers license they need a non drivers id from dmv and another form of Id with a picture on it- like college id, work id.

I was a bit worried, because I needed my original birth certificate, and they took it and sent it in with my application!! I hope they don't lose it!! I just needed my birth certificate (original copy) and my driver's license.

What about the 'copy' that is stamped by the Town --- can you give them that? Or it has to be the one from 26 years ago?

I thought you could send them that because my Town has a box that says 'Is this for a passport?'

Hi no they are very very strict it has to be the stamped one from 26 yrs ago or a copy of that one but the imprint has to be felt- no copy flat paper, hope Im making sense, I felt bad when I went a family of 4 were there and they had to go and get the originals he was mad he said I dont know where they are- prob in a safe deposit bank somewhere, they insisted and he left angry. HTH

thanks - my town actually stamps with an imprint for those 'copies'... i think that's ok because that's what my brother did.

You need a license AND an original copy (sounds like an oxymoron) of your birth certificate

Yup thats fine- DH did the same thing. I luckily had my original- ripped and all, lol.
