GOING TO KICK FH IN THE FACE - cake vent

I found a cake I love.. i mean LOVE and he thinks it is ugly as all hell. We may not go for it depending on how much extra it would be but I am annoyed he hates it.

Grrrrrr sorry had to vent

Do you have a pic? This is why I will not have FH come with me to pick out MY cake, if I like it I will have it!!!!!! NO question about it, the only thing I will ask him is what flavors does he like? Is that mean???

Tell him he has no say in the cake lol. Was there anything that he had to have that you didn't really like but went with it anyway?

does the cake taste good ? blind fold him and feed him the cake then feed him a ****** cake and make him choose then tell him hes getting the cake if not just throw the cake in his face lol jk

no haha not mean at all..we have better eyes for that stuff.

like fh gives his thoughts..and i learned how to curb them and make them kinda like my own..so he thinks its his idea...when REALLY..its mine.

I don't want a white/ivory cake.. i mean I will go that direction but something keeps pulling me to the green. I just want the cake to reflect the theme with out being ugly (i have seen some horrible green cakes and even showed fh).

The only diff. is I wanted butter cream possibly instead of the fondant and shamrock scroll work instead of the flower detail.

I realize he might not like it because its 'different' but I really like it. We did agree on the filling though:

I want the outside to be Baileys mixed into butter cream in that color of green instead of the fondant.

We are definitely doing a chocolate cake with raspberry mouse in two tiers and one tier with just the butter cream flavored with Baileys mixed with chocolate chips. I am thinking there is not additional costs with these fillings but wanted to verify.

OMG! I have a similar thing..I'll have an idea...and he DOESN'T like...and then...some time will pass, and I swear, he will spit the idea back at me, as his own! It's SO frustrating!!! I mean...at least I get my way in the end...but, he pi$$es me off in the meantime!

I usually cave into what fh wants but now you girls made me feel a bit better.

I am going to see what the price would be and make my mind up soon then place a sample cake order to verify the Baileys goes well.
