Going to kill my FMIL

Just got home from visiting a friend who's moving this week... and found an email from my FMIL that she wants to ADD ANOTHER GUEST to the invite list!!!!!!

I am in the process of addressing them- not adding more ******* people!!!!!!!

you have to put your foot down.....i cut my fmil off a while ago with the guest list.

ughhh soo annoying! is she chipping in to pay for them? If she is then i would just let it go, if she isn't I would tell her FH that you are upset with her and she can't jsut keep adding people especially if you and your FH are paying for it. Weddings are soo expensive as it is, just adding a person here or there adds up!

FMIL is not 'chipping in' with paying for anything, we know she doesn't have much... but she would like to pay for something, so we are working on her doing the rehearsal dinner...

We have been very lenient with her because she has very little family or friends to invite, but I am thinking that she is trying to compete with FFIL and FStepMIL since she had heard they were trying to invite like 16 friends!! (I put my foot down on them too, and unless they are helping pay for those 16 people, those 16 are not coming!!)

I cut FILs off and my wedding isnt for another 459 days! We started running out of space at our RH!

exactly if you put your foot down to them, then put it down to her.

She has to know now right- otherwise she will probably think she can do whatever int he future. I already learned to say to my own mother and FMIL that if your not paying..you have no say- if you want something done a certain way, then give me the money for it.

FMIL drives me and FH crazy. She is a drama queen! LOL.

Actually, have any of you watched the show 'Still Standing'?? Bill's mother (Sally Struthers) is TOTALLY her!!! FH came in when I was watching it one day and laughed his *** off about it

FMIL plays the guilt game, and she's good at it, but we are impervious to her powers!!!!!

hahaha good oh my FMIL is a drama queen as well.. but she learned quick from day one that her crap wont fly.. we will move far far away from her if she keeps it up.. shes been behaving every since. lol

never saw the show but i can just imagine!

Oh wow - I am SO happy that FH and I are not alone in this!! FH and I are paying for the reception and FILs wanted to invite about 20 extra people...FH flipped. And they aren't contributing anything. So aggrivating.

Emailed my FMIL back last night...

Waiting to hear back from her though. I honestly put it as nicely and patiently as possible, because I don't want to offend her... Hopefully she won't blow it out of proportion!!

I made sure to add in the fact that it didn't bother me that she wanted to add another friend, but more that the invites are beginning to be ADDRESSED at this point... so that info would've been helpful to have MONTHS ago, rather than NOW.
