Great day to go! It'll be quiet...you'll have a wonderful experience.

Bring pictures, and a set price point in mind.

Definitely have an idea of what you want, a few designers or particular styles, and tell them your budget up front. They have so many dresses, that they could bring you a ton you don't like if you don't have any ideas. Also, if you aren't finding what you want, give the attendant several guidelines but ask her what she thinks will look good on you, but it'd be better to have an idea.

I bought my dress there, but knew that there was a specific designer I liked (and ended up buying). I went early in the dress shopping and had no luck-it took looking around elsewhere to get an idea. Then when I went back I was only there 20 mins before I bought the dress!

One more thing-keep in mind they have HIGH alteration charges when telling them your budget. I didn't realize it would tack on $400 for alterations.

sorry to change the mood, but I had the worst experience with them before I even got there. I guess it's good to know different opinions!
They have their 'policy' of taking credit card numbers in case you miss your appt. and unfortunately, my grandmother who was suffering from cancer was rushed to the hospital that afternoon so I had to cancel last minute and they promised they wouldn't charge my card. When I got my bill, wouldn't you know it, a $50 charge for a missed appt!!! I was furious and had to argue with the manager to get my $$ back! She kept insisting that they had a strict policy. I told her that this had to be an exception and eventually they refunded the $, but not until I threatened to go to the local Bay Ridge papers and let them know what kind of a place they were running. That's when they decided to give me a refund! It wasn't the $, it was the principal! I was disgusted by them and their 'factory!'
Anyway, enough venting...good luck!
