going to my 10yr HS reunion this saturday.

Anyone else have one coming up or recently past?

My 10 year is in 2 years. I vowed not to go unless I had a 'rock' and a man. I hated HS, I waas more of a college person! When I do go there will be 2 major league baseball players, a few convicts and a national hockey league player. Which is exactly why I refused to go unless I had a 'rock' and man!!! The rest of the class is still living in the same town and they have kids and houses....at least I got out of town!

My ten year is 7/31/04! I have so many weddings during that month that I am not sure if I can swing the $200 it would cost for boyfriend and I to attend!!

mine has come & gone and I did not attend, either the 5 yr or the 10 yr. i was so not about hs and wouldn't want to be around a bunch of phonies...jmo

oh i agree about teh phonies. i think after hs you ralize who your true friends are but i am stiill going with the small geoup I am afriends with still

i felt the same way right after school was over, but we kind of went our seperate ways. i still see them from time to time, but i didn't really feel like i had to go to my reunion, you know?

ETA: So then you are going since you have the rock & the man?

Also wanted to add, my 10th was (YOWZA) eight years ago and while I was a 'floater' in HS and really was only still in touch with my three best friends from HS, I had a REALLY good time (and I did not have the rock or a man). People change (the phonies, etc) ... and I enjoyed talking to people I NEVER said a word to back in the day (I had a VERY large graduating class ... which included Lucy Liu, but she did not come - but I was also in the same class with her since 2nd grade, anyway, she wasn't even famous at the time of the reunion).

i went last year and was amazed at how little people had changed!! it was kind of sad in some cases!
but i knew that i was happy with my life, and i went to see some of the people who i knew then, but lost touch with....i even reconnected with a friend who i hadn't spoken to since we graduated! we are still in contact and went out to dinner a few months after the reunion.
i had a good time, stuck to the people i wanted to talk to and made fun of the snotties after i left!

My 10 year was cancelled for lack of interest. I would have gone, but I had a wedding at Caryle on the Green that night.

Mine passed on May 10th but I skipped it. I would have gone but $80 pp at the New Hyde Park Inn was WAY overpriced. $160 for me and FH to see people I dont even think about anymore?

My 10-year was in January. I went Skiing instead

I keep in touch with the friends I had, no need to see all the one's I didn't like 10 years ago!

ETA: It was in the School's cafeteria too and cost like $100 pp ... come on now!

I did not go to my 5 year and I won't be going to my 10 year...Haven't kept in touch with many high school people at all...I cannot wait until my 5 year college next June though We are booking our hotel rooms already! I always worked at our college reunion weekends and everyone had such a great time! One poor guy died there though, after a flight in from California (he was relatively old, in his 70s). It was so sweet though, his wife said it was where he would have wanted to die, having seen it one last time.

My 15 year reunion is Friday August 13th but im not going because I am getting married the next day...I think it is going to be cancelled anyway because not many people have bought tickets.

I have a feeling that may happen to mine. It is Oct2- a week before my wedding. I think I want to go, though. I don't think Fh wants to join me though, & I am not in touch with anyone from there, so I don't want to go & not really know anyone.
