Going to my first wedding and I have some questions...

Ok, so my friend is getting married next Sunday at Windows on the Lake at 11:00. What time should I be there by? I was thinking like 30 minutes early, but wasn't sure if that was too early. Also, since FH and I are both poor college kids, we can't afford to give them money so we got them gifts off their registry. Do we send the gifts to their house before the wedding or bring it to the wedding, and if we bring it there, where do we put it and when? Do we have to hold onto the gifts through the ceremony, or can we drop them off first on a gift table and then go to the ceremony? TIA

Something off the registry I would probably send to the house and just bring a card to the wedding. It will be simpler than having to carry packages as they are trying to leave.

i agree..def drop it by their house beforehand..so u dont have to hold it and your friend doesnt have to carry a gift home afterwards

You can do it either way, if you happen to go to her house beforehand I would leave it at her house, but lets say youre running late and dont make it to her house, at the wedding there is usually a table where people put the gifts down, but yeah you might be carrying that thing all around until you get to the reception.

i agree, i think you should leave the gifts at the house and bring the card to the wedding.

i would say get there 15-30 minutes before the wedding. it'll take a few minutes to park, and there you have to walk across the street to get to the ceremony.

and PLEASE let us know how the wedding is...i am getting married at the beach club estate, which is the sister hall of windows on the lake, so i'd really love to hear about the food, the service, and everything.

how exciting, your first wedding!! have fun!!
