Going To Spend a Lot of Money for Trainer

Going To Spend a Lot of Money for Trainer

We're going to spend $495 for a trainer from a reputable training place, and it's for lifetime help whenever we need it. Our Lab, Bud, needs to be trained because he pulls very bad, and nothing seems to stop it, and he has gotten out before and runs away that we have to catch him. I just feel bad that we have to spend so much money. But it is really getting to be a problem, and I want to be able to take Bud out when we do things, and not say, let's keep him home because he'll be too much of a hassle.

Here he is with our other dog (puppy) Sabrina:

Is it crazy to spend that much for training?

They are so cute -- is Sabrina a Lab also?

I don't think it's crazy to spend that much for training if it's going to have that much of a positive impact on your relationship with your pet. Its very important that you feel you are able to handle the dog and that the dog understands who his master is. It's important for his safety and well-being!

Sabrina's a French Mastiff. She was around 6 months in that picture.

Yeah, I know. It's just that we're getting married in November, so now I'm thinking I don't know if I should actually hold off on training until after because money is a little tight right now.

Lately I have been finding furniture chewed up like dining room table leg and dining room chair. I don't even know which one did it. Right now, they are home alone together, I hope they're not up to no good.

I can't believe I was just posting about this today, and guess what I came home to? Either one of them or both of them chewed on the wooden armrest on the recliner. They chewed off a little piece of it! There were chips of wood all over the floor!

Don't feel bad, I came home to about fifty pounds of POOP all over the house!!!!! UGH!!! They all seemed to have a bug on Friday (so I worked from home) and they all seemed to be fine over the weekend.

All I can say is YUCK!!!!

That is gross. My friend had her dog poop on her a couple weeks ago when she had him on her lap in the car. He's a really small dog. Now that is the worst thing ever.

Tht's not so bad. With our trainer, we paid $200 for an inital in home consultation and we pay $30 per week for group classes (we don't take him anymore) so if that's lifetime help, I think that's definitely worth it!

Yuck! LOL!

I came home one day to find the entire halway wall chewed! And I mean the entire wall! I could see the plumbing to the bathroom behind the wall and there were sheet rock bits all over my house! I was cleaning up that mess for over 2 weeks! We had to re sheet rock as well.

My FH was really mad because he was saying the recliner that they chewed up armrest on is sentimental value to him because it's actually from his parents' house, and we used to curl up on that together ever since we started going out. We can just cover it with a throw or something though.

I can't take Bud to group classes. He wouldn't listen because he gets hyper around other dogs. I need a trainer who can focus all their attention on him.

I paid 600 for lifetime training. I have a rottie so I wanted him to be professionally trained,. I take him out in Ronkonkoma, where do you go?
