Going to take a walk...

to David's Bridal during my lunch break to see if I can find something for my friends wedding in April. The dress I got from Victoria Secret (that purple) wasn't so great in person - it's like sized to fit the bust area but it was swimming on me everywhere else.

I didn't even know there was a DB so close to my building.

ok just got back and the DB on sixth avenue - ehhh... let's just say the word 'pushy' would best describe. Needless to say I did not find a dress in there - there was this one silver dress that was kind nice but not for $90.

So I was about to hop on the train when I noticed Burlington Coat Factory was right there so I decide to go in - never been there before.

LOVE THIS STORE! I was able to find a dress for the wedding ($50), I bought another dress that I just couldn't pass up (Calvin Klein - $25 - could wear it to work, night out, whatever), and since I could not make up my mind between 3 necklaces/earring sets - I bought all 3 ($7.99 each). I could always wear any of them to work.

And, might I point out, that the dress I sorta liked in DB, I saw it in BCF for $40 less than what it was in DB!

I did, but then I had to return and get a bigger size because I didn't look at the size chart and it's most sized based on the bust. So when I got the new size in the top fit but the waist and everything else was just swimming on me. FH looked at me and just said 'Umm no, take that off' LOL.

I really like the one I just bought though. It's very form fitting and I've never worn a dress like this before and I was a little taken back by how nice it actually looked on me. Black is so slimming LOL

hey you can't say it's a bad thing they are so brutally honest. That's one of the qualities I love about him - I know that he won't let me out of the house looking like a hot mess LOL

Very cool! I've been wanting to check out a BCF. I've never been either. Did you happen upon any FG dresses? I've heard they're really good for them!

I actually did not see any (but I wasn't looking for them either). They had a second floor to BCF that I did not go to so maybe they were up there.

Definitely check it out though. You can take the F train straight there!
