Gold and Red

Gold and Red

What do you girls think about gold and red being wedding colors? I was thinking of maybe having gold or white table cloth, with red candles all around. Red, white or gold napkins. White chair covers with gold bows. Red flowers. Please give me your honest opinions. I would also appreciate any ideas or pictures. Thanks.

Those are beautiful and classy colors. Red is gorgeous and gold brings a warmth to it that makes it more of a summery feel.

Do you have any pics that inspired you so far as you've been thinking about it?

Red and gold are gorgeous colors, and definitely go with one another and complement one another.

I've been searching cakes on a site I found... here are some reds and golds just to give you some ideas...

I think those colors look very beautiful together! I'm especially a fan of the 4th, 5th, & 6th pictures that springsandra posted.

I was having fun searching and pasting links lol

My colors are the complete opposite of these -- mint green & lavender! But it's fun to see what other options there are!

My sister's wedding was gold and red and it was beautiful!

The girls wore red dresses with gold sashes and I (MOH) wore gold with a red sash.

For CPs she had gold candelabras with red flowers.

Everything came out gorgeous and the colors photographed so well.

I'm doing gold and red but, I am staying very minimal with the red...

My colors really are Ivory, gold and red.

So far this is why:

My invites are ivory and gold, no red.

My boK is ivory
My 8 BM's dresses are gold with red roses boK, 2 Jr's are wearing red dresses with ivory boK's

All my centerpieces are ivory and crystal.

My cake is all ivory/white with tiers of red roses...
That's all I can remember for now...

Basically I am going ivory and gold with accents of red. I want a very, classical, regal look.

These are *almost* my colors, but since I'm in December I'm warming them up a bit and doing a burgundy red (NOT purple burgundy), ivory, and gold as the accent color. I'm obsessed with my colors!
