Gone for Good...I have a question about the end???
This was a great book, however I feel like an idiot for not getting this but can someone tell me what the note/article the Ghost left in Wil's pocket was about right at the end. I didnt get it or make the connections.

I don't remember exactly what it said, but was that where he told Will that she was actually HIS daughter and not his brothers?

It was an article from a newpaper that some man was killed and it gave details. I couldnt make the connection of who that was or what it was referring to....maybe it had to do with the paternity....just not sure.

I am having SUCH a mental block now. I remember reading the book and having such an 'AH HA!!!' moment at that part, and now I can't for the life of me remember what it was about.
THIS is exactly why I like to own all of my books... for reference times such as this. Of course I BORROWED Gone For Good...

Okay...so I got the book.
This is the absolute last page and its titled the Epilogue:
Later that night, after I kissed Carly and helped her to bed, I found the piece of paper he'd jammed into my pocket. It was just th efirst few lines of a newspaper clipping:
KANSAS CITY HERALD
Man Found Dead in Car
Cramden, Mo.-Cray Spring, and off-duty police officer iwth the Cramden force, was found strangled in his car, apparently the victim of a robbery. His wallet was reportedly missing. Local police said his car was found int he parking lot behind a local bar. Police chief Evan Kraft said that there were no suspects at this time, and the investigation was ongoing.
Ok, thats it....What is the significance of this clipping? Who is int referring to?

AHHHHH, that was 'Sheila's' abusive husband (I forget sheila's real name).
Anyway, she had left her husband and feared him finding and killing her (why she changed identities). So now they didn't have to worry any more about him finding her. I guess the ghost killed him off.
thanks for posting all that info - it was driving me crazy that I couldn't remember.
