Good Board Games?

Well my small family Christmas Eve get together is getting larger by the day thanks to my MIL. I'm worried how I am going to entertain everybody?

Can anyone recommend some good group board games aside from Pictionary? Help!

what about the game of life? Scatagories, trivial pursuit the 80s generation, scene it (havent played it yet, but looks so much fun! )

I like Upwords. (Its like scrabble only you can also build on top of words.)

Honestly, Monopoly is HUGE with my friends and I. We are ruthless and form corporations and what not.(OMG, we're weenies!) There is actually a way to play by putting two boards together, too. I dont' know how to do it, but if you look online you can find it.

UNO is awesome!! Ever play UNO ATTACK?! So awesome--it spits out cards to you and you don't know how many it will spit-if any!

we love TABOO, SCATTERGORIES, SCRABBLE, LIFE, TRUE COLORS is really fun, too!

Outburst & Taboo are my favorites. They are great for parties since you split up into teams.

I have always wondered, what is the game Cranium about ? Just looking for a general idea of the idea of the game.
