Re: GOOD BRIDAL SHOPS?

Bridal Reflections has two locations - one in Carle Place and one in Massapequa. I bought my dress from the Carle Place store and had an enjoyable experience, start to finsh.

There are two bridal shops in Lynbrook. One is the Bridal Center on Sunrise Highway (been there as long as I am alive, and I'm already 30!) and the other is relatively new in the past few years, called Beautiful Bride on Merrick Road, about a mile from the other one. Both have gotten good reviews.

Re: GOOD BRIDAL SHOPS?

try the wedding salon in manhasset. the salespeople are very helpful and they have a good selection of dresses. they have a lot of dresses in the back so don't worry if you don't see anything on the racks. if you know what style you like they probably have the dress in the back. Ask for rosemarie. she's very sweet and honest.

Re: GOOD BRIDAL SHOPS?

there is a bridal shop in cold spring harbor that my mom went into (she takes sewing classes near-by) and the woman told her that she can beat any price...of course being the dimwitted bride-to-be I was last year...I bought at the first place that I found the dress I liked in...

Re: GOOD BRIDAL SHOPS?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....Not Bonaventure in Garden City!!!!!

Sorry to be so dramatic but I really had an unpleasant experience with them. I gave them a lot of business and they tried to jerk me by charging me double for alterations because they forgot to do my hem (this was when i was a brides maid). They pinned my hem and when I found out they were gonna charge me again I said I would have my grandmother do it. They took the dress out of my hands and ripped the pins out.
I never looked back.

Re: GOOD BRIDAL SHOPS?

I've been to several bridal shops in the last week and for the most part have had very good experiences.

Lilette's in Baldwin: Pat helped me and was wonderful. Very patient and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about Lilette's.

Bridal Suite in Centereach: Beverly helped me and again was wonderful. This is where I actually fell in love with a dress. Finally, after thinking I would never have the feeling of 'this is the one!' I have that feeling. I am probably going back on Monday to order the gown.

Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook: Don't remember the woman's name, but she was nice... I felt the store was a bit smaller than some others and didn't have as many dresses in my budget, but they were nice there.

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue: Vivien helped me, again very nice and helpful. Nice selection of gowns, the best part is they have 2 rooms, over $1000 and under $1000.

I had called Bonaventure to make an appointment but cancelled due to the attitude I got on the phone. I'm sure they are nice there, I just didn't like the way I was spoken to just while trying to schedule an appointment.

All in all, I think all the places I listed were wonderful. Good luck shopping!
