I have hear both good and bad things !!
im not sure about alteraltions... but i've been a bridesmaid 3 times and gotten the dress all 3 times from daivds and i NEVER had a problem with them (knock on wood)... thier in-store service is a little crappy depending on who helps you, but i have never had a problem with them.... my girls are getting thier dresses from davids too!
I have heard bad experiences come out of the store in Nassau, but so far not too many bad ones from the one in Suffolk.

I've heard some bad things from coworkers and friends..
one of my coworkers about a few days before sisters weddings finds out the gown was not altered right and was too loose in the boobs..and it was too late to do anything about it! she found out when she picked the dress up!!!
