Good Hotel in the city!??!?!

Fh and I are planning a weekend in the city and want to find a good hotel that is reasonable in price as well. Im thinking more or less around Central Park or around that area.
TIA

I would reccommend any Marriott. I stayed in the Marriott at Lexington b.c we went to see Phantom on Broadway and they upgraded us to a suite - it was awesome, so gorgeous!!

Edit: And the price was reasonable!

The Bryant Park Hotel is so nice and the rooms are actually large. Also, the Doubletree on the east side in the 50's has large rooms and is reasonable. Whatever you do, don't stay at a W Hotel...the rooms are the size of my closet!

I recently stayed at 'The Muse'. Is a Kimpton Hotel and its one of those small boutique hotels. Probably the best city hotel i've been in. Not sure of the prices because I got a package deal and it was Feb. Worth looking at though.

I would try priceline....do a regular search first...see what hotels are in the system for the central park area....if you are happy....than place a bid for a price you would really like to pay.

My fiance and I did a mini trip to NYC a few weeks ago and got the Intercontinental Barclay for like 150 bucks.....bargain.

Good Luck

BTW: The Waldorf actually has good deals...we go once a year and sometimes find it cheaper than other hotels (only when bookiing closer to your travel dates...they reduce their rates)
