I need to buy new jeans. All the ones I have are from the Gap, and I love the way they fit me, but lately I have been noticing that within 6 mos, the front of the thigh area (between the waist and knee area) gets sorts frayed ... very worn looking. It's like they changed the makeup of them and they are lesser quality. They used to be sooo good ....
So I want to know where I can buy jeans that are of good quality but that won't cost me a fotune. Gap's are the only ones I've found that are long enough for me (I am 5'7' and wear heels a lot) and don't bag at the waist ....
Anyone have any good suggestions? I don't shop in the city at all and am looking to spend $50-75.
TIA!

Good suggestions ladies - thanks! I don't know if I have ever tried any of their jeans on. They are like $70 right at express? Same as gap probably and they have lots of sales ... NY&Co is the best for sales ....

I was going to say Express too. I was just there recently and I saw their jeans, they are sooo cute. I am a 'jeans snob' and sometimes i spend like $200 on expensive designer jeans (not since wedding planning though lol) and I totally wanted to go and buy a pair of Express jeans. They are nicer than some of my really expensive pairs.

I actually got a few pairs of seven jeans (expensive normally!) on overstock auctions last year...ebay has them sometimes too, new with tags....and they fit so well! I always thought the really expensive jeans were a load of garbage, but then went to try on at nordstrom and loved them, but still couldn't get myself to spend the money...when I found some in my size on O Auctions for b/w $30-$50 a piece, I couldn't believe it!

I have seen these at Loehmanns and tried them on I think but I don't think they fit me well. Loehmann's only have certain sizes though, so it's possible that they didn't have the correct size when I went .... maybe I'll stop in this weekend, there is one 5 mins from my house. Thanks!

Try century 21 or loehmanns for designer jeans on the cheap. Also try Annie Sez for discount designer jeans.
I get very jean lucky at Off Fifth in the Source Call. You can get sevens/hudsons/etc. for maybe $60-70 when they have coupons available for 30% off (and if you FM me your email, I will forward you an off fifth coupon next time they are emailed out (usually every two weeks).
P>S> i am a the designer discount shopper queen so let me know if you need any saving tips ladies!

Oh - I also read that Old Navy had a great new line of jeans come out this year that was selling out like crazy for maybe $35 a pair at some point. Worth trying on!

By far my favorite jeans are Seven for All Mankind. The fit cannot be beat. Miss Sixty has some nice jeans as well. While these brands are not in the price range you stated, you can get them off of eBay well within your budget!
