AWWWWWW....thank you so much Rach!!!!!! I was just ironing his clothes (down in the basement) and looking at all his baby clothes that I have stored down there.

It goes way too fast, but I'm trying to be strong

You are the BEST

Be strong Hot Mama! He will come home and you will be so happy to see him and he will tell you all about his day and you will realize that nothing and NO ONE can take mommy's place!

Re: GOOD LUCK TO SCOTTY ON HIS FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!!!!

I'm not really worried about someone taking my place, I'm worried about

1. Him being in a strange place full of strangers
2. A bus accident
3. A mean kid being mean to him (I'd have to go kick butt!)
4. Him missing me
5. If the teacher is going to take care of him
6. Him getting hurt or sick at school

I'm sure there are many others, but I can't think right now

Ok, think of this.....
1. He'll be in a room full of strangers for the first 10 minutes, then he'll be in a room full of friends..
2. He will be safe and sound in the hands of the capable bus driver. He will wear his seatbelt like he's been taught.
3. He will be strong like his mommy has taught him to be, and if someone tries to bully him, it just won't work...
4. He WILL miss you, but it will only make it better when he gets off the bus in the afternoon!
5. His teacher WILL take care of him! How do I know? I am a teacher, and I know I will be taking care of MY students
6. God-forbid he did get hurt or sick at school, which will happen many times I'm sure (it did to me!), they know where to reach you and you can get him and take care of him like the wonderful mom that you are!

awwww you poor thing.. how sweet.

I remember the first day of school when I dropped off my baby brothers (twins). One im really close to and it was soooo hard. I helped raise them when my parents adopted them.. was there on their sick days and icky icky days and gross days and their first words and first walks..

First day of school tore me up so bad.. i wanted to DIE. My brother was pounding his fists on the window screaming my name.. i felt horrible.. i didnt cry in front of him.. just smiled said it was ok.. I got outside and my Dad had to hold me back.. i wanted to go back in and pick him up.. I was bawling.. I was a wreck.. hours later after feeling so crappy I couldnt work .. did drive-bys of the school...

Finally we picked them up.. ya know what? that ******* could have cared less the entire pain I had gone through!! just giggled laughed waved at me and had the NERVE to be ****ed off when I said it was time to go!! that little twerp. I could have killed him!

Too bad I love him to death.. *sigh*

It will be fine.. good luck!

I totally am Jenn. He's bigger and braver and more mature than I give him credit for.

He's the best thing that ever happened to me

You're so brave.. and so was he.
Congrats on the first day send off

Jen-
To this day my father laughs at me. Says it was a great dry run for when I have some kids of my own. I still think the best birth control in the world at that time of my life 15-20yrs, was helping raise those kids. My god! it's a full time job!!!

Now I call my dad from time to time just to say 'Im sorry for the hell I put you through as a child.. can you still love me?' heh.

Im 28 and still childless... Im thinking 32-35 sounds like a good age to start. ............. maybe.

Re: GOOD LUCK TO SCOTTY ON HIS FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!!!!

He's home, snug as a bug in bed!!

His day was great, UNTIL he was on his way to the bus to come home, and got stung by a BEE

The school called just as I was ready to go to the bus stop to aske me to pick him up at the nurse's office.

The plus to going to pick him up was that I got to meet his teacher (who ALSO got stung by a bee as she was trying to swat it away!) and she was very nice!

My little man is officially a kindergartener!!

Thanks so much, girls
