So, for our Honeymoon, we are spending 5 days in South Beach, Miami, then were going on a 7 day cruise out of Miami on Carnival. Originally, we booked a room with an “ocean view” (window) on the 1st floor, because the balcony rooms are just so expensive! ($600 more than an ocean view and $900 more than a room with no window). So I get home from work yesterday and there’s a message on my machine from Carnival that they are UPGRADING us for free to a room with a balcony on the 10th floor! Apparently they had some cancellations and since they saw it was for our honeymoon they gave us a balcony room...for free!!! Yeah!! Im so happy and excited!!

make sure you tell the airline that you are on your HM... They usually upgrade you to business class if they have room =)

Congrats on the upgrade ! We love having a balcony on cruises. It is just so worth it. On cool nights we slept with the balcony door open to get some fresh air.
