Good news about the # of guests, but....I'm still sending out invitations!!!

Our room minimum is 95. We got more 'no's' than we expected, and I wanted to cry because I thought no one was coming to our wedding. As of today, I tracked down some people that didn't respond, and our guest list is up to 89!!! Now, this is horrible but FMIL, FH, and I have scrounged up some people that we may have not invited otherwise, but we really need some more people... So we came up with a list of like 10 more couples... and I'm sending out the invites today!! The wedding is in 30 days!!! Cheesy? Yes. Do I care? No. We need more people. The worst that happens is some say 'no' and we never have to see them again anyway because we live in Philly. I'm horrible, I'm mean, I'm a bad bride. Bad, bad bride.

Don't feel bad. I just sent out two invitations in the past week, because I was afraid we weren't going to hit our minimum.

You are not horrible! I feel like I'm going to be doing that also. They should feel honored you invited them, and they will thank you afterwards

If you have to do it then do it..

Me personally, would not want to be invited to a wedding because the couple cant meet the min..or at least not want to know...I dont beliebe in b-lists..but that is just me..doesnt mean your doing anything wrong.

Make something up..tell them that the invite was returned and that you want to confirm the address...

I have been asking people this week because I am in the same situation. We got more no's than expected. Surprisingly people are very understanding about being invited late. I've been verbally asking them & if they say they can come, I send them an invitation after that. In the past few days, I asked four couples, so far two are definite yes's. Never know until you ask & people should understand that when you first send out invitations, you have to watch your head count & be sure you don't go too high...

And I see the point about the 'B' list, but I don't tell them I need to make a minimum, I say that I was very limited in the beginning, but now it turns out we have more room, so I'm inviting a lot of friends that I had to unfortunately leave out to accommodate immediate family first.
