Good news! (with question)

Good news! (with question)

3 HPTs and 3 BFPs!!! I just tested last night!!! DH and I are so excited!!!

Here is the question... I've been swamped at work (have a trial coming up) and have literally been working 15 + hour days and weekends. I feel fine...maybe a bit run down I(don't know if it is the long hours or the pregnancy)

But, I am now trying to minimize stress and don't want to jeopardize my pregnancy with stress and insane hours. My boss expects a lot from me and I've always delivered. However, I almost want to tell him my news even though it is really really early just so that he lays off me a bit. Problem is the work needs to be done and no one (other than me and my boss) to do it. What would you do?

Congrats!

I think maybe what I would do is make an appointment with my OBGYN and have your first exam with him/her and discuss your job situation with him/her and see what their take is on it.

I think though that as long as you are not physically running around all over, it is OK for now. You will probably be really tired soon from the pregnancy.

I would see how it goes...I felt great the whole pregnancy so far. No M/S for me, so I just told my boss yesterday at 15 weeks/4 days! I would wait it out until you feel overwhelmed and then say something. UNLESS you have the kind of relationship with your boss that you don't mind him/her knowing early. I didn't want to tell my boss until I was past 12 weeks...

Oops! Just reread your post...15 hour days!!! Ouch!! I would tell him that you may need to lighten your hours...

you can generalize and say your doctor has suggested it due to some signs of exhaustion or 'for physical reasons' I need to cut back a little.....

Congratulations!!! I don't know what to tell you about your situation but I hope that you can solve it in any way. Please don't get stress... and have a healthy 9 months.

Congratulations!!! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months. As far as work is concerned I would discuss your issues with your Dr and see what they recommend. Personally, (JMO) I would continue to get the work I needed to do done without telling my boss that I was pg. Is there anyway you could catch up with some work at home?

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is so wonderful. But be sure to talk to your OBGYN about your job because I'm telling you I'm in my 9th week and all I want to do is sleep because I am so shot.
