Good news/Bad news

So here I am almost a year after being diagnosed with an extensive blood clot in my leg and the doctor just called with my most recent sonogram results. I had been hoping and praying that the clot was all the way gone so that I could stop taking medication every day and going for blood work every 3 weeks. I want to get my life back to normal and not have to worry that I am going to bleed to death every time I get a paper cut!

The results are in and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that there is significant lessening of the clot. The bad news is...it's still not gone! . Which means I still have to take medication every day and get blood work and be careful when I shave and not get paper cuts..etc. etc. I was hoping so much that I would be cleared..but not yet. It will be a year on December 29th since I was diagnosed and it has been a nightmare. I know I should be happy that it is going away but enough already!!!!!

Be happy that it has shrunk, I know that was not the news you were hoping for though.

I am sooooo sorry that you didn't get the news that you were hoping for. Try to remember the progress that you have made so far. Hopefully it will go away soon.

I am very happy that it has gone away somewhat and I am grateful that I am getting better. I'm just disappointed that it's not over yet. Oh well....nothing to do but wait. Thanks for the good thoughts and the hugs!

Wendy!! I am so sorry that there is still more bloodwork and testing to be done, but was glad to hear that the clot shrunk.... Hang in there. I'll continue to pray for you that everything works out!
