So just as I was leaving work today, I get called in for my review. I have only been at this firm for a little over a year so this is my first review with them (even though I've worked with one of the partners at another firm for forever).
It's been a long time since I had a formal review (I was used to just seeing a raise in my check), so I was a little nervous.
The Good News: All 4 partners were there (which is unsual) and they then proceeded to tell me what a great job I'm doing and they gave me a huge $11,000 raise!!
I was shocked and very happy.
Now for the bad news: they have now determined that I am an exempt employee and no longer eligible for O/T. I work long hours and love my checks when I have O/T in them....so that's going to stink.

Congrats of the raise...the lack of OT stinks but at least you are guaranteed to have a bit extra in each check.
