I graduate in december so I had my first interview today...it went great. I was pretty much told that I got the job. good news right? yaaaay!!
bad news...
orientation starts in december....on probation for 6th months. whats that mean?? no days off!!
= can't book a honeymoon!!
the only thing i can think of is that my wedding is on my weekend off, so hopefully i'll be able to work my schedule out that i'll have a few days off after, then maybe we can go to the bahamas or something just to do something for a few days (like 3!) and then just go on a real honeymoon after probation.
i am so happy and so so so upset at the same time!!! my stomach is in knots!!!

That is great news about the job. I know it su*ks about the HM but I know lots of people who waited to take their HM. Wait it out a little bit, sometimes companies will let you borrow time and take vacation early for extreme circumstances -- like your wedding.
A career is forever you will always be able to take your honeymoon!

ya know what though - this is your career can't pay for the honeymoon without a career i would put everything you have into the job and when the time is right you can go on a kick azz HM

It will work out! It has to...you've had great news...getting married to a great guy and you will have a great job. As other have said, you can always honeymoon later.
Congrats on the job interview going well!

I would ask them about that though... I know I'm actually going through the same thing where I'm interviewing for jobs and getting offers... and some companies told me that I wouldn't be able to take vacation or days off for the first 6 months, and I told them that I was getting married in August, and the people I was interviewing with said that it was not a problem and I would be able to work it out and take those days off, that my wedding and honeymoon was obviously important! I'm not sure if pharmacy is different, if they're more flexible, but it's worth it to ask. See if they will work with you! But congrats on the interview going well!

CONGRATS on the job!
Don't be sad about taking a delayed honeymoon. A lot of people have to do that and having a new job is way more important. Your honeymoon will come in time and the longer you wait the more special it will be abd hey since you will have a new job maybe you can even upgrade!!! It isn't the end of the world, it will work out for the best!

I agree, most companies if you let them know in advance will accomodate your wedding. My fiance just went through the same thing and he works for the govt. - they said that they understand and wuld give him the time off. I guess that it's different then just taking a leisure vacation.

Congratulations. Like some of the other posters have said, I think you should communicate this with them and who knows, they may accommodate you. If not, don't sweat it. You can always book your honeymoon afterwards. Think of the excitement of starting your new career! Best wishes to you.
